Abby is a mom and knows first hand how challenging it can be to find great child care. After struggling to find babysitters she found SeekingSitters and opened a franchise in Bakersfield to provide quality child care to other parents.

Abby and Chris Bryski are the owners of SeekingSitters Bakersfield. Abby was born in Bakersfield and raised on a small ranch in the nearby mountains. Chris was born in northern California. They met each other when they were both assigned to the same wild land fire in Arizona. Abby and Chris were married in 2007 and have been professional firefighters for almost 15 years, assisting with natural disasters across the country. They were blessed with their son Cooper in October of 2009.

With the birth of their first child Abby and Chris quickly realized the anxiety that came along with finding someone you could trust to watch your child, not to mention an infant. Late one exhausting newborn night while searching the internet for the answer to their worries, Abby came across SeekingSitters. It seemed too good to be true. Chris and Abby had a reliable trustworthy family source for routine daycare but when it came to out of the ordinary appointments, events or work, they had no one they could look to for an on demand sitter. Abby began extensive research and was impressed by everything she found out from other owners and parents who used the SeekingSitters around the country. She felt it was an important resource to provide the parents of Bakersfield and surrounding areas, as there was nothing else like it in Kern County.

Abby and Chris are so proud to be able to offer such a wonderful service to other local parents. They are also honored to have the assistance of Abby's mom Terry. Terry has recently retired from 35 years as a school teacher and also holds a Masters in Counseling. They are committed to providing safe reliable babysitters for all of your childcare needs.

Thank you for sending Stephanie to our home. It was our first time using this service and my husband and I were both nervous. We felt very comfortable leaving Stephanie with our little girls. Membership

One time membership fee: $59.99. Your one-time membership fee is valid at all SeekingSitters locations.
Pay Per Request: $15.00 per event
Month-to-Month Subscription: $20.00 per month
Annual Subscription, Billed Monthly: $10.00 per month

A destination charge of $10.00 per event applies for families in the extended driving area, paid directly to your sitter. This is not a mileage compensation.
