SeekingSitters isn't a gig marketplace — it's a full-service caregiving agency founded by a parent who happened to be a private investigator. Safety wasn't an add-on. It was the entire reason we exist.

In 2004, Adrienne Kallweit — a licensed private investigator — and her husband David struggled to find childcare they could truly trust. As a P.I., Adrienne knew exactly how little stood between a family and a stranger on most babysitting sites.
So they built something different: an agency that screens every caregiver the way an investigator would. More than twenty years later, that same conviction still drives us — families don't just hope their sitter is safe, they know they've been thoroughly vetted.
